Exactly. Watch what happens if Democrats kick off the impeachment procedure; it'll be the GOP dragging its heels.

While nobody has said Northam has been a champion of African-Americans - it did make me wonder who much of leader on racial issues a person would make what he allegedly did "forgiveable?"
And it isn't just a race thing in terms of Northam - the Lt. Gov. is seen as an opponent of the fossil fuel industry. Northam is much more their kind of guy on that issue.

I think I have figured this out. Northam refuses to quit. Makes the legislature begin impeachment proceedings. Cozies up to Trumpists, who decline to vote for impeachment, citing the fact that the transgressions occurred before he became governor. (This is more than a plausible argument.) Northam then switches to the Trumpist party. He really is their kind of guy. He then backs the Trumpist candidate for governor in the next election and calls his Lt. Gov. a traitor. Becomes a hero on the right. Continues political career, citing "witch hunt mentality of leftists."

Seems like the NCAA has this view too, when it comes to academic fraud at Missouri as opposed to a certain other state university/crossthread

Hardworking Fatfuck, who bitched incessantly about lazy shiftless Obama, reports to work at a snappy 11-11:30 a.m., to kick off his grueling 3-4 hour work days.

Brings to mind the glory days of Reagan, who used to rail against the welfare-mooching "strapping black bucks" while working similar grinding 20-hours a week schedules featuring noonish arrival in the office along with frequent afternoon naps.

What exactly has Northam done to warrant impeachment?
Poor judgement as a drunken frat boy nearly four decades ago is not an impeachable offense.

Yesterday's news conference should be enough to end his political career.
