It's notable, too, that a single link and comment about Democrats brings forth this kind of response. Surely - surely - you have a more interesting, developed response than this to offer forth.

 

I don't feel comfortable talking about Netanyahu. I'm told that anything less than 100 percent fealty to the Likud Party makes me an anti-Semite.

 

Kind of like opposing Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan makes you racist

 

I am quite comfortable opposing Sharpton and Farrakhan, especially the latter, who is a hateful bigot.

I have found myself opposing Israel's actions, too.

A Democratic party as far to the left as it was in 1990, before Clinton moved it to the right in the Great Triangulation?

 

While Bibi and the Likud Party werent paying much attention, their pet poodle Trump installed Nazis in major policy making positions at the White House.

Nazis are the guys who want to shove Jews in the ovens.

 

A monolithic party.

The Democratic Party of the 1980s won't win like this new Democratic Party will. I mean, I fully concede it's going to win, and win big. And you'll probably love what results.

I, on the other hand, am wary.

I'm personally fascinated by The Handmaid's Tale (a show, incidentally, whose star is in a known cult, yet somehow keeps working, just like Tom Cruise) because it presents a future that I am beyond confident is not coming or happening now. In 1985, when Atwood wrote the novel after Reagan's second election and this rampant fear of a theocracy (and conversely, an equally strong fear of Satanism from church-going types) it made more sense. Today? No. The nation is about to move hard left, and the more Baby Boomer Christians who die off, the more left it's going to go.
