That's not a slippery slope argument.

Not a fan of the DH. But always liked that the leagues were different. But the novelty went way with interleague play 20-plus years ago.

The DH is coming the NL. This year. Next year. A few years from now. Might as well just do it.

    I can also see a pitch-clock working.

The three-batter minimum isn't going to happen. Takes too many decisions away from managers. And I'd imagine the union will be against it. Taking away specialty roles.

Instead of a three-batter limit, give each team one (1) mid-inning pitching change; any subsequent mid-inning pitching change enters with a 2-0 count on the batter.

This would eliminate one-batter platoon relievers, it would lead managers to try to stretch starters (and middle relievers) one more inning before they get into trouble, etc etc.

Also: Redefine the save rule to emphasize the guy who gets the potential tying run out as opposed to the guy who finishes the game.

Along with expanding rosters to 26, allow each team one (1) re-entry substitution per game. This would open roles for the old style specialist pinch hitter and even a Herb Washington-style pinch runner.

Leave the DH situation the way it is. It's OK that fans (and players and managers) have to remember some different strategies for a few games every season.

    This proposal is beyond stupid:
A rule, which would be tested in spring training and the All-Star Game, in which each half-inning in extra innings would begin with a runner on second base.

Can Manfred just leave things alone?

Worst idea ever. Did they get it from Gary Bettman? It doesn't even speed up the game, because nothing slows it down like a runner in scoring position in the late innings.

Now they want to possibly move the mound back or lower it.

Just another is a line of bullshit overtime rules. The CFB oveertimerule is a joke, the pro rule is weak. THe NFL ought to play 10 minute overtime period followed by sudden death in the regular season and 10 minute overtime periods in the playoffs. They are pros. Play the game. Baseball extra innings have been the same for 130 years, dont fuck with it.

NHL has different OT rules for regular season and playoffs and it works. Has any team forfeited its 1 point to pull out he goalie in the regular season OT?

So do dental dams, but I don’t think they work in MLB.

Maybe we can have teams singing in the dugout and the entire infield running to the mound to high-five after every out as well.

This didn't at all take a disgustingly sexist turn.
