You could have given me 1,000 guesses about the next penis I am going to see, and I'm not sure I would have gotten to Jeff Bezos.

The real “F you” move would have been for Bezos to write that column and include the photos.

There were reports... *sighs, shakes head*... that Mr. Bezos would not be embarrassed, shall we say, were we to see his penis.

For tl;dr purposes: AMI is under an agreement to commit no crimes as part of its deal with Mueller. Pretty sure blackmail and extortion are crimes.

We are way overdue in addressing another demeaning USA sports' practice, eye black. Eye black is overwhelmingly a fashion statement in MLB and to a lesser extent in the NFL. It also shows up in hockey and soccer to name a few. The only sport to eschew this trend is the NBA where not surprisingly minorities are overrepresented in management positions compared to other sports.

Over the years this practice has been rationalized by "glare reduction", when of course it is clear that this ritualized decoration is meant to mock without being obvious, e.g. " I used just a little bit of shoe polish to put under, or on my cheeks". In addition to ridiculing African-Americans it is also has a double racist meaning of making fun of Native-Americans, "war paint" anyone?

This is the one Onion story that didn’t make me laugh.

I am no lawyer, but I think extortion has to involve money, or at least something of monetary value. I think what AMI did here was shit, and it was also stupid of them to put their demands in writing, but I'm not sure it's illegal in the strictest sense. I could very well be wrong.

Something need not have monetary value to have value. AMI obtaining a "confession" from Bezos and the Post that they found no wrongdoing on AMI's part re: Saudi Arabia/Trump definitely has value.

But you could be right. In a legal sense, extortion may not have occurred. Definitely seems like the textbook definition of blackmail, tho.
