Whatever you think of AOC, she's done one thing—aided by Trump's venality and America's gross inequality: She's made it okay to hate the rich in loud and public ways. I feel like some serious shit is coming.

People call it class warfare. The truth is that only one class has been raging war on another for the last 40 years.

 

I think more and more people are realizing that the American Dream is a lie used to convince the poor to vote against their own interests. "You'll want low taxes when you're rich, too!" But people are realizing they're not going to get rich. It's a scam, like the lottery. For the vast majority today, the life that you're born into is the life you will lead. A few will get lucky and make the leap. Most won't, not anymore. That's finally dawning on people.

 

Fair enough, but you generally address your worries to one side rather than the other.

 

Yeah, Alma says he doesn't support either side, but a vast majority of his posts slant one way.

I used to think of my self as independent, sliced right down the middle. After some self evaluation, I may still *think* I am centrist, but I would look like a fool to say to anyone else that I am anything but thisclose to a libtard.
