    The other side's pretty well critiqued, for one. For two, I see the nation moving hard left, so examining what's past isn't as material to me as what's to come.

    But, at any rate, happily voted for Clinton. I would have been quite fine with her.

    A friend of mine posted about the Laffer Curve on FB and it made me laugh. The idea that any politician would OK a 50 percent tax to maximize revenues is funny. But the curve is so antiquated with the various ways taxes are avoided, how capital gains are taxed etc.

    I suspect it might, and have thought so for awhile.

    I also suspect the emotion is close to hate. I also think the idea of "rich" is really just a synonym for power. For the haters, anyway.

    I think it's only fair to take AOC and her supporters as seriously as they intend, at face value. I like her fire, actually. I just think she thinks the shit rolls only one way. It don't.

    That "other" side runs the government. Still worth critiquing and talking about.

    In fact, the conduct of that side is going to determine how far left things move.

    Your second post was the one I quoted, and it was 95 percent material written by others. I was quoting your actual contribution and was wondering why "AOC is just a vessel for mean people" was your takeaway from her proposal.

    The "or unwilling" part of guaranteeing "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work" may not be popular with a majority of the country (or with me), but I doubt it was a mistake that just slipped by everyone. Seems to me to be pretty consistent with progressive views. This will give the Trumpists something to be upset about that's more substantive than the video of AOC dancing.
