Much criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic. But much criticism is also people who look at the Palestinians’ and see a people oppressed by Israel. They would be wrong about the oppression. The Palestinians were pawns in the Arab wars against Israel from 1948 onwards. When the wars failed and Israel and the Jews living there weren’t driven into the sea, as was the stated goal in 48, 67, 73 and today by Iran the Arab world abandoned the Palestinians who are now a terrorist community. The PLO and then Hamas are a military terrorist organization with constant and consistent incursions into Israel and murdering Israelis. The anti-Israel movement ignores this and focuses on the plight on the people who are captive to an ideology that has achieved nothing but death, destruction and asted lives. PLO begat Hamas which Begat Taliban which begat Al Queda which Begat ISIS The poor Palestinians are dupes and victims. They have only their friends to blame.
Given world wide anti-Semitism for 2500 years, Israel is inseparable from a Jewish homeland. At its heart, anti-Israeli sentiment is anti-Semitic because to deny Israel an existence is to deny Jews a home.

Ask why Egypt hasn’t reclaimed Gaza, which was not part of pre-1948 Palestine but Egyptian unti 1967 and why Jordan hasn’t attempt to reclaim any of the West Bank which was not part of pre-1948 Palestine but was Jordan until 1967.Most of the disputed land Now ‘occupied’ has been occupied as a result of Arab war and attempted invasions of Israel.
