I saw a good theory online that this is part of a bigger storyline where Steph, Trips and Shane use this as an excuse to take the company away from Vince because he’s out of touch as a way for Vince to legitimately step away. Art imitating life, so to speak.

 

I'm thinking this might be what's going on. Could see them doing it up at 'Mania or Summerslam if they want to build it that long. Vince's stand-in vs. a stand-in for his kids. Maybe Kevin Owens vs. Kofi. But at this point I'm hoping Kofi is against Bryan for the WWE title at 'Mania since they're skipping over him at Fastlane. Maybe they mix Triple H and Bautista into it, and we get Vince/Bautista vs. Shane/Triple H so Bautista doesn't have to go a full match, but I can't imagine Bautista coming back to be on a team that takes a pin. Maybe the whole Miz/Shane thing gets mixed into it somehow.
