If I was a team, I think I would give him the 10-years and $30, but I would provide an escape clause/buyout option if he plays fewer than 100 games a season more than once.

I keep waiting for Harper and Epstein to come running hand in hand together through a fake brick wall like the damn Kool-Aid man.

Well WAR is a counting stat. The only position players with seven or fewer seasons with more WAR than Harper are Betts, Machado, Arenado and Andrelton Simmons (more than two-thirds of Simmons WAR is defensive)

Brandon Phillips has more WAR than Harper. He's played 10 more seasons. 39 of the 53 position players in front of him have played three or more seasons than Harper.

The top five most similar batters through age 25 are, in order, Andruw Jones, Griffey Jr., Justin Upton, Ruben Sierra, Frank Robinson, Trout, Miguel Cabrera, Conigliaro, Conseco and Eddie Mathews.

That's pretty good company: 3 in the Hall, 2 who will be in the Hall, one who is borderline Hall and one who was on the way.

Joey Votto is a better offensive player at 25 million a year

He would never sign that contract.

I have a better chance of signing that contract.

Part of Harper's deal is that he puts asses in seats.
It's not Votto's fault that he plays in Cincinnati. He doesn't have people 10 rows deep yelling to smile here, pose here, take this selfie, sign this and that.
There are probably several better players for the money, but it goes beyond that.

Sources: Giants have 2nd meeting with Harper

At some point, they're going to be done with the meetings.
    "Bryce/Scott.....what does it take?"

So the answer is yes. You are trusting some random Twitter bot with no sources. Gotcha.
