    Philly Press conference:
    HARPER:
I always wanted to a be a Yankee, no a National, no a Cub, no a Yankee, no a Dodger, no a Giant, no a Padre, no a Dodger.

    Not sure I believe $330 million / 13 years.

We'll find out once the paperwork gets filed.

    Seems insane, given his durability.

As a Red Sox fan, I couldn't be happier where Machado and Harper ended up. They weren't going to Boston, so anywhere but the AL East is A-OK with me.

The Phillies just negotiated against themselves for eight more years!

13 years in Philly is cruel and unusual punishment

we will see if DC is a real sports town. In DC, Harper should get booed without mercy for 13 years

The alternative is Jeff Passan, Jon Heyman, Ken Rosenthal, et al, got it wrong. And I'm all but certain Heyman's source is Boras himself.

average annual salary is 25.3 13 years is a way to defer salary without actually saying it is deferred. If it is paid out as 25.3 a year for 13 years.

I figure all of them got the same text from Boras.

    Zero deferred money, per Rosenthal.

I think 'yab's point was that making it a 13-year deal would spread the money out over that time instead of 10 so it would function sort of like deferred money.

Befuddled that Harper got less than Machado (per yr).
