    This sucks. Dude was like James Dean there for a while. He seemed like a genuinely good dude, too. Apparently even his ex-wife thought so because she was among those with him when he passed. RIP

    In the mid 90s Letterman had a guest on (can’t remember who) and they were talking about a celebrity (can’t remember who). The first referred to this person as the most popular person in America. Letterman came back with “I don’t know, what about that Luke Perry?”

    He was being only half facetious and while I laughed, I thought “yeah, he’s right up there.”

    And one of the last of his kind. Network TV isn't popular enough anymore to create teen idols that an entire generation would know. Today's are more likely on YouTube.
