That was long-term booking right there. They were already building Bundy as the oppoonent for Wrestlemania 2.

 

Easy to forget the longevity the Hardys have in WWE, even when they were non-descript jobbers. Jeff has wrestled Bundy and Braun.

 

Piper had a pretty good episode as a Highlander villain of the week.

And who can forget Hogan's starring run on "Thunder in Paradise?"

Why was he on the outs with WWE? I always wondered why he wasn't in the HOF, but if there were issues between the two it would certainly explain that.

 

For one, he was part of the lawsuit vs. WWE with a bunch of other wrestlers blaming them for head injuries.

 

I remember watching that as a kid and thinking that was an awfully long nine seconds. I used the stopwatch on my digital watch and sure enough, it was 24 seconds.

Supposedly, Jones wasn’t too happy that he was going to get squashed like that, but rationalized that if he didn’t do it, someone else would and get paid.
