I'd like to think two-thirds of the Senate would be able to acknowledge a wrong-doing when they see one. I also think the charges against Trump may be so severe that Rs take cover by saying that they should be heard in a court of law after he's left office rather than in a political setting.

 

They won’t do a thing. Their guiding principle— evangelical Christianity — says Trump was placed in office by God. Therefore, undoing that would constitute rebellion against God’s Will.

 

As god is my witness, I would pay $500 folding money right this minute for a Trump-signed Bible, if only to show how ridiculous they both are.

 

Which is why I wonder what McConnell is thinking as he tinkers with the nuclear option.
