I don't get the Quad stuff. so a win against the last team in quad 1 is worth a lot more than the top team in quad 2? Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do a slope ranking - like they measure golf course difficulty. Seems like the NET rankings protect major conferences more than anything else. Or measure a team's record against it's SoS and judge it by expected outcome. A team has an SoS of X how well did they do above or below the expected record?

Strength of Record. I guess it determines how strong of a schedule your record was accomplished against.

listening to Vitale on ESPN I realize that he could both work at Orchids of Asia Day Spa and be a customer

That clearly was a foul, but also clearly well before the act of shooting. He would have had two FTs with about 2-3 seconds to play, down 3.

Man, what a comeback by Tennessee. In about five minutes I went from wondering if they early-tournament upset fodder to watching them race pass Kentucky and maybe nab a one seed.

I was a senior in high school the last (only) time the Vols won the SEC tournament. Now I get senior discounts.

Iowa State smokes Kansas in the Big 12 championship game to end perhaps college basketball's most impressive streak. First time since 2004 that Kansas has not won either the Big 12 tournament title or at least a share of the regular season title.
Also, I had no idea that Iowa State has very quietly ripped off four Big 12 tournament championships in six years.

Me neither. With two different coaches, right?
Who would have thought that Iowa State would be sustainable?

Those Kansas assistant coaches look a lot lighter without having those stacks of cash lining their suits to keep handing out.

They were 13-18 last season, but have won at least 23 games every other year since 2011-12. And yet never made it past the Sweet 16. Weird.

As far as I know the SEC salary cap applies to all its schools, try spending more
