SDNY, EDVA, or the DC courts, the NY State courts look to be the obvious players. I expected some sealed indictments from Mueller and that didn't happen.

That's a waiting game. Who knows what might drop when? I remember the NY charges on Manafort dropping immediately after his sentencing. We don't know.

Ultimately, Trump has firing authority over SDNY.

And the Dems played right into his hands. Their actions since Nov. 2016 have done more damage to our government and trust in it than anything they could falsely accuse Trump of.

Yes. He can ask the ghost of Richard Nixon about how firing prosecutors works for a President.

How is the media going to take a big hit on it? Trump has a lot of questionable people in his orbit. Multiple former members of his campaign are facing charges or already in prison. The media reported on the investigation, the prosecution of Manafort and others, and Trump's obstruction and obfuscation.

The fact that the Special Counsel did not charge Trump with obstruction of justice does not mean he didn't obstruct. His actions still occurred. They just may not be criminal in nature, or at least carry the burden of proof.

And you're right back to obstruction of justice. There are a hundred ambitious young U.S. Attorneys there.

What are you talking about? Until January 3, 2018, the Democrats controlled exactly none of the US government. So they did what oppositions always do -- they bitched whenever possible. Now they control the House and can act, so they will in some form, probably a weak one.

Trump's OoJ happened in plain sight. It's proving intent that's difficult.

And Trump has firing authority over them all.

Dems were in a tough spot, but just biting their tongues, winning the midterms and giving Trump nothing for the last two years of his first term by far would have been the smart, adult play.

Instead, they went the hysterical route, and trust in government and even trust in elections is up in smoke.
