Joe and Mika are probably inconsolable right now.

The presumption of innocence is weaponized.

You guys are full of it. How could any opposition not pursue suspicions the President was elected with the aid of a foreign power (fact) and that said President's campaign was in cahoots with that effort (not fact, but sure a suspicion)? The adherents of a political party that pursued Benghazi for six fucking years has no standing to complain about its opposition getting the bit between its teeth on an affair such as this. I will also note that the FBI cleared Hillary Clinton of any crime in 2016 and it didn't shut anybody up about it. Still hasn't.
One final thought. The weird way Trump's people lied to investigators even if they weren't conspiring with Russia may stem from this: They at least KNEW about the Russian effort prior to the election. After Obama told Ryan and McConnell about the IC's conclusion, you can bet they told the Trump campaign. Now knowing that something is going on but having nothing to do with it is not a crime. But it sure looks bad.

I'm sure Macron took great pleasure in that video endorsement from Obama, also.

Because actually calling out corruption is a bad thing in your world.

Russian agents (not the precise word) made multiple efforts to reach out to the Trump campaign and nothing came of it. But neither did the Trump campaign tell the FBI or anyone else about it. Again, not illegal. But not especially patriotic.

So, since Obama publicly endorsed Macron in an election, that makes it acceptable for a Russian agency to interfere with a US election?

    Your whataboutism is duly noted.

Personally, I find it reprehensible when any country interferes in an election, including the U.S.

Macron was elected in 2017. Barack Obama was a private citizen at that time. He did not speak for our government.

Wait - so we elected Trump and he's acted the way he has not because we or he was under Russian control but because we/he WANTED to?

Paul Manafort must be pissed right now. If Trump doesn't fire Comey, presumably his investigation on conspiracy comes to naught without poking into Paul's tangled skein of criminality.
