He just can't help it. "and it does not exonerate him" is right in Barr's goddamn letter.

I can’t stand Trump as much as the next person, but this take is wrong. A suspect is under no obligation to cooperate with police or prosecutors. It’s on them to gather enough evidence to charge the suspect with a crime and prove it in a court of law.

It's what nations do. Don't know why that's so hard to grasp. Nations spy. Nations cajole. Nations threaten. Nations try to influence elections.

You've had plenty of chances to speak up, since we've done it more than 80 times. I couldn't hear you for all the crickets, though.

What's your take on the US trying to install Juan Guaido --- a man who won a whopping 26 percent of the vote to secure his own assembly seat --- as president of Venezuela?

As far as I've read, the letter only asserts that Trump did not collude with Russia to interfere with the election. Says nothing about his financial dealings in Moscow, the "pee tape," etc. Those have always had the greatest potential to damage the Trump presidency. The thought that he colluded with the Russians in an impeachable way has always been a fantasy.

    it is total exoneration

anything less than a frog march out of the white house is an l for the dems, and this l is akin to game 6 of the 2002 wcf

anything other than video footage of him stashing the launch codes in lindsay's poop chute and lindsay depositing them hot out of the oven onto putin's chest is a w for the gop

You're right. We didn't just arm rebels (or invade with our own soldiers) to get the foreign president we want. You know, the usual way.

BTE, your general point about US interference in foreign elections is valid. We're doing it in Israel right now, for instance. But the Obama endorsement of Macron is not the same thing and you are wrong to cite it. An admittedly prestigious private citizen offered his opinion on a foreign election. That's not interference and it's certainly not clandestine. I, an admittedly completely obscure private citizen, think Brexit is a sick joke. That's not interference, it's just an opinion.

Well, I'll remember to include you on my next press release announcing my opinion on global election interference.

I didn't think my previous post was ambiguous. I'm against the US trying to install anyone as President anywhere. Period.
