That's very bad strategy. Sooner rather than later, the idea that we should all take Barr's word about what's in the report is going to raise the logical question, "well, if it exonerates Trump, why don't want us to see it?"

 

And somebody somewhere in the world has to be working furiously to leak the whole thing, word for word, letter for letter, without one single comma redacted.

It is hard for me to read this as anything other than Barr played games with how he interpreted the report and McConnell does not want others to see it. If the report indeed clears Trump, why block its release?

It seems inevitable that the Mueller Report is eventually released, legally or not.
