Re. suspension of Giants CEO Larry Bauer.

I disagree with the sentiment that this was appropriate. I think it was absurd that a private spat spied on by social media is now grounds for someone to be punished by their employer in the absence of any criminal conviction, much less a complaining party. It is pure stupid liberal virtue signaling.

I am against all employer overreach in the private lives of professional entertainers. The roots of this go back past the #metoo movement to the OJ acquittal which created "black people may get a trial, but they still have to be punished if the verdict is not popular." This has evolved today into Deadspin's takes on Kobe.

Liberals morphed this out of misguided "fairness" into everyone must be punished outside the legal system especially if a woman is involved.

 

Re. DeVos. The money spent on the Special Olympics would be better spent on stem cell research, of course that is not what she is proposing.

We should put more money into school choice (charters) to help minorities. The teacher unions are on the wrong side of this.

As I previously posted, the key is to get minority students who don't want to learn out of schools with minority students who do want to learn. Send the knuckleheads to vocational and reform school.
