Early onset? Dude's been in the Show for, like, ever.

C'mon now. He's pitching at an age by which Weaver had already been retired for a year.

Kolten Wong *on pace* for 364 home runs. Survey says he ends with 10-13.

Greinke is 35. Also, he's had dips in his velocity early in the season before, then bounced back, so I wouldn't be shocked to see him rebound a little.

I can't fault Bird for when he hit the home run. He never stepped the to the plate with less than a 3-run lead (thanks to Voit). Yep, he's got to stay on the field. If he misses serious time this season and/or bats under .200 again, he'll be gone. But hopefully he can stay on the field and he and Voit keep going back and forth like this. It's been a fun storyline of the spring and it was fun to see it carryover into a real game yesterday.

The Dodgers hit eight homers on Thursday. The Giants may not hit that many until Memorial Day.

I think the cubs might get the second wc but will be far behind these two. Their pitching just isn’t that good.

Covered it. It was 1995, ended when Federal District Judge, now Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor declared the use of scab labor illegal because the owners had not bargained in good faith in 994 when the strike started.

Jesus, how did baseball survive being on strike for a thousand years?
