Auburn will be on probation within 12 months.

 

They should've been on probation about 15 minutes after they hired Pearl.

 

I love Bruce Pearl. I have for 15 years since I saw him at Milwaukee. Became a Tennessee fan when he moved there.

In a sport where the regular season doesn’t matter, if I’m surfing and see Auburn, I’ll watch. That says something. I don’t root for Auburn but I always root for Pearl.

He understands the role is about winning but also about PR. He’s seen as “too dirty” from his Iowa/Illinois mess to ever be accepted. So he had to go to Southern Indiana and then Milwaukee before he finally “made it”.

F the blue bloods that turn up their nose at him. If Pearl is a criminal so much worse than the other coaches, the NCAA is welcome to kick him out for good.

Until then, do better.

Really, they don't. It looks like a basic 4-out motion offense but with everyone pretending they're Carmelo Anthony.

 

Thing I dig about Pearl is it seems like he cares so much about his kids. As much as he hates to lose, he could lose by 25, learn something from it, and be better for it.
