I expect it to be quite fair.

You are a thoughtful fellow but there is no basis whatsoever for your optimism.
Our elections are neither free nor fair.
    Many examples from November.
One party's playbook is almost entirely based on voter suppression.

Bernie Sanders floats modified term limits for Supreme Court justices - CNNPolitics

I really like the idea of depoliticizing the judiciary as much as possible. Limit terms on the SC to 10 years (or 10 terms of the court), you end up with more experienced and better prepared judges instead of those whose main attributes are a limited track record and youth. I'd also give the Senate three months to vote a nominee down - if not, they're installed. If someone wants to circle back to the Court of Appeals, I'd have no problem with that.

If I were one of the olds, I'd see about making him my VP

    It's noticed.
Another thing he does is avoid being in public at all. unless its a set up meeting with only followers allowed.

    How about V.P.?

Seems like he could be a solid choice, but would he want to be VP? It's not really a stepping stone to the Presidency anymore. HW Bush was the last VP to get the big chair, right? That was 30 years ago.

It will be interesting to see if his Democratic opponents will go there. It can certainly be a vulnerability. But, as I noted above, if Biden were to make it to the general, I don't think it will be an issue*.

I think one thing all the Democratic candidates need to be careful of is not to hurt the eventual nominee's chances to beat the incumbent.

*I say that now, but this moron is so unashamed of anything, it wouldn't surprise me if he were to outright accuse Biden of being a molester uncle while patting a 10-year-old on the ass on live TV.

I'm pretty sure all the nominees except Sanders, who is as egomaniacal as Trump, recognizes this and will be reasonably circumspect within the bounds of political contest. Notably Biden's women foes said nothing stronger than "he should explain this" which isn't much more than standard media reaction.
