Times New Roman is a perfect font for the administration, really.
Something old and tired that peaked in the '60s or '70s.

Would this really make it less political, or would it turn presidential elections into de facto Supreme Court elections? Everyone busted Schultz's chops for mentioning it, but if you really want to make the Supreme Court less political, require 75 percent Senate confirmation, with some sort of mechanism that would help prevent the likelihood of a stalemate. Or how about an even court? Each party appoints five judges, regardless of which party is the majority.

Court needs to be an odd number to prevent ties.

Hahaha, riiiiight. Just push it back till after the election, and we'll show you the bestest ever health care plan. Health care isn't all that hard, right?

No it doesn't. It's supposed to be an apolitical body. Make a convincing legal argument and win a majority of the votes or lose your case.

I'd settle for 60 votes needed. The thing about a 10 year term is that we miss out on the expertise of many judges in their prime years if they are deemed too old to be appointed and we end up with judges with limited experience or those holding on hoping for a specific outcome in the next election - or worse hanging on until the very end.

There's a lot to like there. He's really smart and eloquent. He has clearly thought out policy proposals.
In terms of electability, the problem is not that he's gay; it's that he's gay and married. Imagine if he accepts the nomination and kisses another man on live national TV. The Trumpists have their moment. All they have to do to fire up their bigoted fan base is to show that clip. That's all. Easiest 30-second spot in political history. Show the clip followed by "He doesn't share Our Values."
In the process, many people on the fence about whether to vote for the Democrat or stay home will elect to stay home. This is the guy Trumpists want.
Maybe I'm wrong. Ultimately, I just want somebody who can beat the despot/bigot in the White House.

I'd love to see him debate Trump.

I'm not sure about term limits on SC justices (if there were, they'd have to be longer than 10 years since that's barely more than a single Presidency, but I do think the Senate must vote on every single SC nominee, no matter how late in a term it is made. As someone said upthread, they have three months to vote or the nominee is confirmed.

And the punctuation marks need to be inside the quote marks.
