He's playing hide-and-seek from the state attorney general. Hopefully she'll walk across the court and serve him with a subpoena on national teevee.

Engler’s attorney says no to interview in Nassar case unless assistant AG recuses herself

Better yet, if UM and Sparty somehow advance to the Final Four (which would require Sparty beating Duke), the game would be held in Minnesota, where state AG Keith Ellison, I trust, might be open to an extradition agreement with Michigan in which Engler's pig ass is dragged off the court in cuffs just prior to tip-off.

Michigan State is good at treating kids like shit.

I’m sure everyone of those people can afford a first class flight. Good for the reporter for calling them out on this.

I'd be willing to bet one of those trustees owns his own fucking plane.

Engler resigned (under pressure) as interim president two months ago. He should be flying coach (taking up three seats).

Of course Sparty is the place where George Perles runs half a dozen episodes of contract extortion to leverage himself into fat new deals, is fired in the wake of an NCAA scandal that results in a vacated season and an 0-11 record, then is elected to the Board of Trustees for a decade straight.

And when it was time for their most recent coaching search, it was considered utterly crucial that the candidates bear the stamp of approval of Perles (and his 68-67-4 career record) to "maintain his tradition."

Amusingly, in Dantonio's 12 seasons, he's had five seasons clearly better than any of Perles', and two others just as good.

I watched "Paterno" with Pacino - probably more Pacino than Paterno in the portrayal, but it is crazy how quickly that all unfolded. There was a bit of dialogue in there that really summed things up well - people described Sandusky's behavior in a way that allowed them to both not accuse Sandusky of anything, but also give them enough peace of mind (if only in retrospect). Clearly Penn State took enough action to know something was amiss...

The house of cards toppled in four or five days. Paterno was dead in two months. It’s still stunning how quickly that happened.

And now we realize if you just wait five days, control the narrative, order an "independent investigation" that last 10 days - something else will come along.
Though admittedly - given Paterno's image, the pending milestones and the gravity of the charges wiping all of that away - he still would have been gone.

Its interesting how Dantonio has gone back to the blueprint -- get diamonds in the rough and coach them up -- after he expanded his recruiting profile after the Rose Bowl win
In came better players -- and bigger problems
One reason he's successful is he gets the guys Michigan and Ohio State didn't look at and says they can beat both of them at MSU
Dantonio has the same hatred for Michigan $aban did but he doesn't complain about being the No. 2 team in the state like $aban did
Dantonio is 63 and has had heart trouble
Pat Narduzzi has done enough at Pitt to expect he'll be the successor

He absolutely has not. He's 12-14 in his last two seasons and has yet to win a bowl. After thinking that hiring Shawn Watson was a good idea Pat's barely done enough to keep his current job, let alone look at MSU's.

Pat Perles is ready to go.
