It is not a touch foul if you hit the shooter's legs on the way down. That's not reaching in or bumping. That's an obvious foul, as about 1000 replays made clear.

Guy didn’t get killed, but there was good body contact when the ball was still in his hands. Fair call.

That the call was right should not obscure one fact. Virginia completely gagged on offense in the last five minutes. They barely moved their feet, let alone look for their shots.

I missed most of my sophomore year of high school hoops being undercut (and that ankle still hurts 36 years later) so I’m pretty understanding of calling those fouls. Here, there was only a little chest to chest on the shot, and he was able to land cleanly.

Jerome’s foul took the wind out of their sails.

So he has to be injured to get a foul there?

Shot ends when player lands and the defender was not there when he started to shoot.

Watch the UVA players land to the side of the shooter.

Salvatore is really good at basketball.

    Kimble is consistent.
He missed the first call of the game 2.0 seconds in.
He missed the second to the last call of the game with 1.5 left.
Steratore trying to bail him out, but you can't miss that.

Jumping towards the shooter is not a foul. He obviously jumped towards Guy. The foul was called on the minimal body contact and I say swallow the whistle there. He also did not undercut him as Guy was allowed to land relatively cleanly there. It was a hero call by the ref.
