Any competent Dem candidate should take back Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. And that’s the ballgame.

As far as recession over re-election, I don’t accept the premise. The old norms do not apply. We’re in the upside-down.

It’s extremely possible Trump loses even with a good economy. And of course I don’t want a recession.

Reagan won 93 of 100 states. Reagan won just about all voters twice.

That's nonsense. People who want Trump gone are not rooting for America to fail. They are like someone with an aggressive cancer. They don't want to be cut open and have their parts removed, or to undergo chemotherapy that poisons them near death in order to get rid of the cancer. They do it because even something that traumatic and painful is far better than doing nothing and living with the status quo.

This is part of Mayor Pete's response to Chuck Todd asking him if he was a capitalist.

Why does that happen? Is it just that crap about how when you get older you realize life isn't just one big party and somebody has to pay the bills?

Or is it people who all of a sudden think the God and country crap that they thought was hokey when they were younger isn't sobhokey anymore?

When you work an amount of years to acquire something, you tend to want to keep it. And not have the government tell you it has "better" plans for your earnings. Not necessarily because you're a greedy son of a bitch. But because you're likely providing for others.

I am walking, talking proof that party affiliation can change. I was a lifelong Republican until age 45. My state has open primaries, so no one is really a "registered" anything. You are whatever you call yourself at any given moment.
I don't know if I'll ever go back, but it will be a long time before I vote Republican above the local level again.

How do you explain the social conservative shit? When you're maarried for a lobg time you come to think that allowing gays to get married somehow devalues your marriage?

When the Parkland kids get older and have kids of their own will they realize they were wrong now?
