I don’t think Obama-era employees struggled to get jobs.

I’m no fan of Nielsen or much what we did on the border. But I wasn’t a fan of Obama’s gameplan either

    1) You are the face of a government policy that a lot of people found immoral and repulsive.
    2) You embraced being the face of that policy and seemed to revel in being the technocrat who made it happen.
    3) You got the boot from the shitshow administration behind that policy. You put yourself on the line for someone who was going to f you at some point, it was just a matter of when. You did it anyhow.
    4) The revolving door that in the past has allowed people like you to cash in, is worthless with regard to that administration, because your rolodex (kids, ask your grandpa) won't pay anyone any dividends. Policy is being made in a haphharzard way, based on some simplistic and hateful ideas and the whims of a mercurial idiot who doesn't listen to (and may publicly insult at any time) anyone your rolodex can connect you to.
    5) So natually, nobody wants anything to do with you. You are toxic.

Why is any of that shocking to anyone with the power of reason? It isn't a "liberal" thing (and have any words in America become more nonsensical than liberal and conservative, in how they now get used). You could be an anarcho-feminist insurrectionist, and if you can quasi-legally produce financial value for someone, there is a job waiting for you if you want it. But no, not when you stupidly made yourself toxic.

I'd bet my next paycheck Kelly and Nielsen were bumping uglies.
I laughed out loud when the Times story called him a 'mentor'.
Mentor of what exactly, peddling your soul to work for a slack-necked pig who will never reward your twisted sense of duty?

Who fuckin' cares, anybody who works in the Fucko Administration is rich anyway, they don't need jobs, they can live off their billion dollar nest eggs. Let 'em eat cake.

Backbone means standing up for what you think is correct. Nielsen can leak on background all she wants about how she personally was against family separation and other noxious policies/rhetoric, but she was a rubber stamp who publicly supported everything. Boo fucking hoo that Trump is throwing you under the bus now or that you can't get your desired soft landing.

Bernie Sanders has no idea how to fix immigration, but he's at least principled enough to say open borders won't work.

There are so many rational, intelligent ways to criticize Nielson and the Trump administration, but you choose to be this.

Who is advocating for open borders? Who doesnt want to curtailillegal immigration?
How and when deportations occur is up for discussion among rational people. Just haven’t heard any speak clearly on the topic and if they have it is not being covered.

On the subject of being covered lets define this.
Something is covered if it is written and spoken often, traction. It’s great the Times, the Post, 60 minutes or Lester Holt has something on itevery now and then, but that’s not covered, that’s reported.

trumpism and State run media have cornered the market on immigration as an issue. It’s about The Wall and ICE. It chokes off rational debate.

Sarah can always go back to her roots:

She was born in the wagon of a travelin' show
Her mama used to dance for the money they'd throw
Papa would do whatever he could
    Preach a little gospel
Sell a couple bottles of doctored brew
