Not true. My policy leanings are generally Democratic, not Republican. Abortion would be the exception. I am for significant gun control, universal health care and a higher income tax rate on the super rich.

I don't know. Maybe. Depends on who it is. I suppose I'd answer the question when the 2020 convention rolls around and we're wondering who the big speech at the convention will be - and who the media chooses to make the star. Mayor Pete would be compelling. He's making it interesting now.

When I write "X is Y," I do generally mean "X is Y." I suppose, in this case, I think it's a commentary on the media - traditional and social - that it would choose to spotlight a person three months in Congress on the Democratic side. But I think that's what happened.
