I'd be good with that Final.

I got a good laugh at the shot of Ovi on the bench with his back to the rink, doing something that I suppose was sharpening his skate, but it sure looked like something else.

Would make a great animated gif.

In the last three games, Caps looked tired midway through the game.

Oh well. 2018 Stanley Cup champions!

    Sorry about last night.

For me, it is go Dallas.

Although I am pretty much OK with any of the teams left, except maybe Boston, which aside from being a team from Boston and all the negative things that entails, has Brad Marchand who singlehandedly destroys any likability factor that team might otherwise have. I don't even hate the Islanders, the way I am supposed to.

If Dallas wins the next series, the Rangers get their first pick. So there's that. Plus, Ms. Ragu loves Mats Zuccarello.

Speaking of the draft, does anyone here know anything more than what I have read about Kaapo Kakko and how he is likely to do if that is who the Rangers get at #2?

I cannot imagine the ratings will be an all-time high for the next few rounds.

Here's how much I currently care about who wins the Cup this year:

I would love to see this finals but Martin Jones may not let this come to fruition

I can't disagree with the point on Washington. I think they thought they were just going to win the series because they hadn't lost in the first round in five years and Carolina was a playoff newcomer. Hurricanes outworked the Caps, plain and simple. They deserved the win.

I'll echo some of the stuff I've read about other Caps fans today ... yeah, blowing a 3-1 lead in Game 7 at home to lose in double OT sucks. But it's not quite as soul crushing as it would have been had last year not have happened. Still think they would have lost to the Islanders. The Kempny injury was worst-case scenario stuff for them and they never recovered from it. Maybe if it had happened in January instead of with two weeks to go in the season, it wouldn't have had the same impact. I do think Siegenthaler showed something both during the season and in the playoffs, and he could be a big piece next year, especially with Orpik most likely retiring.

I think the Caps should shop Niskanen to free cap space. He declined miserably this year.

Going into the OT, Caps were -148 and Carolina was +114. I put some down on Carolina figuring that was decent value for what was a coin flip.
