Snyder took a QB I’m not crazy about.

If he’s who they think he is, that defense is going to get really good, really fast.

Yeah, he seems like a good pick. Waiting for OOP's take on it.

He better be at that price, but I do like that they were aggressive and got their guy. They have failed to do so way too often in recent years and it has burned them.

Bush isn't quite as fast as Shazier, but he's not that far off. If he can handle the physicality and be a consistent tackler, two things he did at Michigan, he's exactly what that defense needs.

The Steelers hadn't traded up in the first round of the draft since 2003, when they got Troy Polamalu. Given how that worked out, you'd think they wouldn't be so reluctant to do it again.

They certainly have some talent to work with on defense. At the very least, maybe this will be the end to making excuses for Keith Butler.

Edit: I see it was this year's first rounder, a second-rounder this year and a third-rounder in 2020. I still like the aggressiveness, but I can't help wondering if they might have been better off staying put and taking Byron Murphy or Greedy Williams, who are still on the board after the 25th pick.

I misread it earlier. I thought it was a three this year, not a two. Damn, that seems like a hell of a high price.

If you had been listening about 8:05 you would have heard the stat from the GameDay crew: 5-10 Kyler Murray had five passes batted down at the line last year. 6-5 Daniel Jones had 14.

Control-freak Dad. And did you notice they required credentials at a private draft party?

Murray also had a much better offensive line in front of him. Getting passes batted down isn't all about the quarterback. Sometimes it is about the interior linemen getting pushed too far off the line.

Murray had guys blocked in front of him.

I think most owners don't want to be known as meddlesome - they all have veto authority and I imagine are consulted ahead of the draft, if not sitting in on the war room. They could have picked up Rosen for a 3rd rounder.

I'm curious to see who the Cardinals pick with the first overall next year.

    I'm guessing they go quarterback.
