Teacher of the year, girl scout cookie champion, spelling bee champion, nobel laureates, whatever - the White House should showcase the best our country has to offer.

Sports heroes not getting enough public acclaim has not particularly been a big problem in our society.

I wouldn't call Ted Nugent anywhere close to the best his profession has to offer, and he has gone courting in this Jabba's Palace of a White House.

That's just it - it shouldn't just be a private club for a President's cronies and donors. And lets not pretend that Trump is the first President athletes have boycotted - there have been a few golfers and others.

PRO GOLFERS WANT TO LEAVE WHITE HOUSE OFF THEIR TOUR

Oh sure, I remember when Tim Thomas refused to go, and he became national news.

The Presidential Integrity Act Of 2021:

    1) The POTUS is fully subject to all legal processes as any citizen, including indictment, trial and conviction. Any president convicted of a federal crime in office, or in any activities leading to
their election to office, will be deemed incapacitated under the terms of the 25th Amendment, and may resume office in the event the conviction is vacated on appeal.

    2) The President's pardon power will be completely revoked for himself, members of his family, members of his executive staff or campaign team. None are eligible for pardons.

    3) All candidates for President must submit copies of every tax return they have ever filed in their lives. Don't like it, don't run for president.

    4) Nobody is eligible to serve as president after reaching their 70th birthday.

    5) POTUS must divest him/herself of all assets in excess of $4 million, or place them in irrevocable trusts. No grace period; if you're elected, get it done before Jan. 20, or you're ineligible.

    6) Use of "acting" appointments for cabinet or executive positions is draconically limited. "acting" appointments may be made only once, for a maximum of 45 days. After the first appointment of an "acting" official, all appointees must undergo confirmation processes for each separate office.

    THAT'S FOR STARTERS.

To be honest, it's gotta suck having 30-40 people in the room motor-clicking cameras and pointing boom mics at you every time you walk into a room and sit down. A little more balance and decorum might ... [ahem] ... serve everyone's purposes better.

Not for Trump or Congressional leaders, though. They must report to us whenever asked. They now ignore that, though.

Reading this list and it kind of makes me sad. If voters were doing their jobs, none of these would be needed, both in terms of the WH and the Senate.

Of course. None of that stuff is law already because the founders never considered the possibility of an unrepentant criminal and pervert becoming president with control of the Senate.
