The Warriors have elevated bitching to an art form. Sad to see Kerr gaslighting over this.

Did I say Warriors included? I forget. Did I include the Warriors in that? Anybody?

Its sad that I know the refs but when I first heard Foster I said "great he won't take the Rockets' sh*f" but then I remembered that the Ws have some issues as well.

The thing I respect about Foster and Malloy is that they are decisive in their calls. The players really get irked when some youngster is waffling or indecisive, at least that's my view.

IMHO, the reality is that the game moves way too fast for anyone to make "biased" calls for one team or another. Now of course you can go out to intentionally sabotage, like a Donaghy. The other thing I believe is that eventually the calls even out. Yeah someone misses a call but the chances of them missing something else later to even it out are really good.

Hey fans, remember that refs are human just like yourself, so "when was the last time you were perfect?"

I umpired my first game when I was 15. Fell in love with officiating then.
Since then, I've done everything from High School Baseball, Softball, Basketball and Football and JUCO Basketball.
    29 years.
The one thing I can tell you without a doubt is that if you're consistent with a call, you will get by just fine.
For example: If you're behind the plate, and you're giving a ball off either corner, if you're doing that for both teams, you're going to have no problems at all. Now, the first time you pass on one, you're going to have a catcher take another second or two to frame it for you, you're going to have a pitcher ask "Where did it miss?" and you're going to have to throw out a coach for not being consistent.
    Bottom line: Consistency is key.
