POTUS not doing a damn thing to protect the upcoming elections from foreign interference is so disgustingly negligent. If only that was grounds for something......

 

What incentive does he have to do anything about it?
If he was a normal person you could say for the good of the nation but he doesn't care about that

 

To see if he can win a free and fair election?

It's all free media for now. A free town hall on CNN or Fox, appearances on MTP - if anything it allows those Senators who aren't up in '20 a chance to get their name out there and perhaps gain some clout in the Senate and get a gig in the cabinet. Though I doubt any Senators are chosen as cabinet members after the Ds lost Illinois and Massachusetts after '08.

 

Agreed — Obama’s big initiative post-Presidency was supposed to be a non-partisan solution to gerrymandering. Trump doesn’t know what that means and if he did, he thinks it’s great if it helps him and proof of the deep state if it doesn’t.

 

The lack of a publicly-released tax return doesn’t matter to most people. That’s a thing that “matters” because a handful of media wonks think it should.

We’ve piled up so many of those “this matters!”
That few to none of them actually do. It plays to Trump’s advantage, too. If you have to hate a guy for 19 reasons, you know what happens? People get annoyed at the reasons.

 

That makes us an apathetic and complacent society. Nothing good can come of that.
