Is the blonde girl the only one who gets to ride on the dragons?
Briefly, why are the 2 sides fighting? Usual issues that cause war like territory dispute for example?

Also what did the girl say before she lost her head and fell off of the wall?

If these questions have long and complicated answers it's fine if no one wants to bother. Maybe I will watch from the beginning at some point.

I take it you just started watching recently?

She said, "dracarys," which means dragonfire in High Valyrian, sort of a Westerosi version of Latin. It's the word Dany uses to signal to her dragons that it is time to burn stuff.

She's better off to just let him run and see what happens. He's got to make it through another huge battle before it's an issue. 5 is the spot for an "accidental" dragon roast in close combat. It would break the alliance if witnessed, though. I wonder if the dragon would willingly kill Jon. They seem to know their Targaryons.

I think we're going to get a dose of Mad Queen next week. She begged Jon to tell no one, and half the castle already knows. How do you think she's going to react to everyone talking about her behind her back, with a dose of "Jon for King!" thrown in?

Basically, you're coming in at the scene where Michael Corleone is at the christening. There are many so plotlines coming to a head all at the same time that it's impossible to give you more than a shallow answer.

Man, the individual scenes tonight. So much goodness.

    The pyres were powerful.

"We'd like to have a word."

    "You tell them."

"I'm not planning on coming back."
    "Neither am I."

    "It's not a secret anymore. It's information."

    "This is treason."
"Don't tell me you haven't thought about it."

"I worry about her state of mind."

    "Dracarys!"

I'm *so* glad they gave Varys something to do. I've missed him.

    Dany and Gendry.

    Sansa and the Hound.

    Jaime and Brienne.

    Bronn's heel turn.

Missandei's death. We all knew one or the other would die. Now Grey Worm is going to fight crazy angry, and he won't care if he lives or dies. I figure he's dead too.

Jaime's heel turn. Is he just going back to his family, or will he become a Queenslayer as Dany and Cersei burn the city down?

I sat there wondering whether Cersei would have her archers make Tyrion look like a porcupine. That would have been a shocking big death.

So many funny moments like Tormond bawling to the bar wench that Brienne rejected him.

But serious question. Dany had Euron in her sights along with the other ships, why didn't she burn their asses? She seemed to have plenty of time and could have gotten a good spread going.

Next week there are two things I'm interested to see: Yara coming in to fight the iron fleet and Dorne finally joining the fight.

Tonight was vintage Game of Thrones. Political scheming. Plotting for allies. Lying to suit a need. It was a good pivot back to where we've been prior to the Night King.

'Cause Drogon would have taken about 37 of those bigass scorpion bolts? She only has him left, and that would have been a senseless risk. She needs to hit those ships at night when they can't see her coming.

Edit - I saw this elsewhere, can't take credit. Why didn't she circle around and take those ships from behind? I don't think you can mount those big turntables on both ends of a ship like that and have it still be able to sail, so jump them from behind and torch them.

I don't think that Yara has the ships to take Euron. What I do wonder is whether Euron heard what Tyrion said about the baby, 'cause "How would he know about the baby? We just found out ourselves..." Cercei could find herself with the Second Sons coming ashore and Euron taking his fleet over the horizon.

I was firmly in the camp of fly behind the ships and torch them.
I think the big death at the end was along the lines of "Oh, wait. We have to kill someone this week. Draw a name out of a hat." It just seemed random to me.
