Or vice versa because she finally realizes what she needs to do to win the throne.

I'm doing okay in the death predictions, mostly because I predicted a high body count for the final season. I'd probably go back and change a few now, starting with Tormund because it seems like he's going to stay out of the fighting from here on out.

I'm even more confident in my prediction that Dany might end up on the throne, but only after a heel turn.

Yeah, it didn't take long for her to ask him not to tell anyone, for Jon to swear his siblings to secrecy to Sansa spilling to Tyrion. As Varys pointed out, when told eight people knew the secret, "then it's not a secret. It's information."
Old Sicilian saying: two people can keep a secret as long as one of them's dead."

I'm convinced that they are going to go with Mad Queen Dany burning it all down. I also have to wonder about the Unsullied under the command of Grey Worm at this point. It won't take much for him to go kill crazy before throwing away his life because he doesn't really care anymore. I wish I thought that he'd get to walk the beach, but that seems a forlorn hope. Bad things happen fast when a city is sacked, and if their leader goes mad with grief and gets killed and the Unsullied avenge him and Missandei him that gets very ugly indeed.

If Dany does go nuts, it's a question of who takes her out, and my money's on Jon there. He can get close easier than anyone else other than Arya, who is a possibility also. Dany is going to be short on trusted retainers and bodyguards with Jorah dead. I can't believe that they would put Mad Queen Dany on the throne.

I still think that Dany, Jaime, Cersei, and (very probably) Jon die. Sansa to the throne. Are Tyrion and Varys at risk if Dany finds out they've been spreading the truth about Jon's parentage? I think that the Second Sons show up just in time to tip the scales against Cersei. Possible that the Iron Bank/Golden Company betray her as well. I hope that Brienne does not follow Jaime south and get herself killed but I bet she does not stay with Sansa. I really hope they don't kill her off.

That's what makes sense to me, but I'm not at all sure what the writers are going to do to us here. I'm starting to think that they're really going to hurt us with a twist ending that does unexpected damage. I don't *think* they'd dare let Cersei win, but anything short of that is entirely possible. I don't think that they want to do fan service here, they're going to go for the "GoT might kill anyone anytime" heartbreaker ending.

This isn't going to be fun. All those characters who survived Winterfell are going to pay now. No more reason not to weaponize their deaths.

That is all very possible. I hope they give us a satisfying ending. It doesn't have to be full-on happy to be satisfying, but if it's all ugly, that's not good.

I'd like to see somebody other than Cersei do something intelligent for once. For example, if Dany actually called on Daario Naharis to bring the Second Sons rather than just have them show up out of the blue. Or maybe before the battle of Winterfell, Ser Jorah sent him a message, knowing she might need help for the battles to come and knowing Daario would answer.

    Other thoughts:

    — does Varys still have his spy network in Kings Lansing? He can easily manipulate things by the end of episode six to get the public supporting whoever he wants on the throne. That is, if he has that power.
    — important line in the last episode was that the new dornish prince has sided with Dany. As far as I can tell, dorne should have an army that is rested and full.
    — will the Golden Company turn on Cersei if the price is right?

Regarding the last question, how would we know? We've gotten no characterization of the Golden Company in the series. It's one of the areas in which this season feels rushed.

"The new dornish prince" is a total throw away, too. Who is this new Prince? Just more, "let's fill in the gaps with some off-screen stuff that you won't know about until we need it to fill a plot point."

If it goes to Sansa/Varys maybe Jon too vs Dany, big question for me is what side is Arya on?

Obviously Sansa is doing her Littlefinger thing manipulating Tyrion and weaponizing info. She doesnt care about her oath to Jon.

Does Arya? Does she know Sansa betrayed Jons trust and approves or will she be offended when she finds out, honor and all that? Will that push Arya to team Dany?

Lame writing for the dragon's death. They could have easily seen the ships from afar unless they have an invisibility shield. It would have been more heroic to die in a real battle.

Stories and character development are rushed because of fewer episodes. Also, I read somewhere that Sansa's blahblah wasn't like a same-day thing but weeks of thinking about it.

Found the spoilers for the final two episodes. Not every plot point/death is listed. But there's plenty of action ahead.
