Think again. Right there in Hill’s column.

Through Baylor’s sports-information department, Mulkey declined to comment about the team’s trip to the White House.

“You still have to give the Constitution its power. No one in this country
is above the law. And if we allow Donald Trump and Bill Barr to act
as if they're above the law, then we're not doing our jobs.”

Mulkey coaches in Texas and Baylor needs money from big money donors.

Yup. WH insider Schlapp is a lobbyist for a company which is trying to get the deal instead of the tribe. Bald faced conflict of interest/corruption.

Don't they still have Ken Starr's little black book of donors? Mulkey will regret this. I'm sure Geno and the rest are out there telling the best players "I never liked that guy. She does."

So just because Trump lost $1 billion doesn't make him a bad businessman.

I guess just because a heart surgeon's patients keep dying on the table doesn't mean he's a bad doctor.

I assume that at a school like Baylor, you can’t turn down Trump’s request.

That would certainly explain why he keeps posting that nonsense here.

    An offer they can't refuse?

That’s fair. I should have been more thorough in my writing.

I think Hill could pretty directly call Mulkey and get an answer. But perhaps not. I should have noted Baylor’s sports info answer - standard flak, but still - and did not.

Perhaps, too, Hill can’t get access to players who’d have answers to her questions.
