    All true.

I think too, 'Bamboozled' made critics (and audiences) really uncomfortable. Which was its purpose.

Sort of angry and heartbroken and heartbreaking all at once.

It had a lot of 'Network' in it - same sort of searing, self-loathing absurdism.

The press can't give Trumpist Senators a conscience. In fact, their Lord and Savior has built his brand and his support of his racist, stupid base by bashing the media and by enjoying the benefit of a de facto state media operation in Fox News.

"A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."

Looks as if the USMA football team committed a major honor-code violation this month.

In the race for stupidest Republican Congressman, Mo Brooks of Alabama makes a bold lunge for the front by saying "people who live a good life" don't get medical pre-existing conditions. It's bad karma to wish for others to get horrible diseases -- almost always, but in his case, I think there's an exception.

Roger Stone made a guest appearance at a low-rent strip club in the Richmond suburbs last Saturday, if that gives you any indication of how his life is going. $25 to get in. (No, I did not go.)

GOP congressman: "Nobody dies because they don't have access to health care"

"You are mandating people on Medicaid accept dying. You are making a mandate that will kill people," the audience member said, before being drowned out by Labrador's response.

"No one wants anybody to die," Labrador said. "You know, that line is so indefensible. Nobody dies because they don't have access to health care."

The line immediately drew audible outrage from the crowd, as well as ire from social media users.

Labrador was similarly booed for a comment he made last month that health care isn't a "basic human right."

I have a question for both sides:

To the righties: What "right" is more important than a right to be cared for when sick? None of the basic ones I can think of (free speech, speedy trial, guns, freedom) do much good when you're dead.

To the lefties: If the state's responsibility is to provide health care, what is your responsibility with regard to staying healthy? And how should the latter be enforced?

Well I am in favor of school lunches being healthy and teaching families how to eat healthier and exercise properly. Just a couple of thoughts.
