About as good as could be expected in the end.
    — I still don’t like Sansa and her final triumph.
    — brienne writing in the book was a nice touch.
    — podrick being a kings guard was also a nice piece.
    — ambivalent on bron being master of coin.
    — tormund waiting for Jon was nice, but all the other free folk just waiting around?
    — the melting was cool.
    — bran had the best line when asked if he would be king.

I actually like how things worked out. Fits everyone into places where they best belong.

They spent like 10 minutes following Tyrion to find his dead siblings, whom the audience already knew were dead. And then they spend no time explaining how anyone knew that John killed Danny, whose dead body was taken away by Drogon.

They set that up two episodes ago. When Tormund headed north, he said they were going to wait at Castle Black for the winter to let up before they headed beyond the wall.

Everyone is where they should be.

The last 30 minutes was the exposition of the plot.

You don’t think Jon just owned up to it? He wouldn’t lie.

I don't mind where the story ended up, but man that was a lot of navel gazing tonight.

Hell, they could have kept this to an hour just by cutting most of the time we spent watching people walk around slowly and in silence. I know they had to move pieces around to finish the thing, but I found very large chunks of the episode to be boring.

Here’s hoping one of the spinoffs is “West of Westeros” with Arya.

Maybe. Should have just made last week’s episode a little longer and had John kill her and the dragon torch the iron throne. That’s the perfect ending. Everything after that scene was anticlimactic

I think Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and the others should pray to God each night that they can make a miniseries as good as Euphoria and the others they just teased.

    Fuck me, HBO.

I actually liked the denouement. If they didn’t add it, everyone would bitch about wanting to know who ended up the king/queen. This adds some finality and puts people where they really belonged.
