Magic heard from Kimmy that John told her that Rob told Jeanie that he didn’t like Magic?
What a little bitch Magic has become.

Yeah, if he wanted to find out if he had any power, all Magic had to do was call Jeannie and say, "I'm firing Rob Pelinka. Presser in 30 minutes."

Or maybe he made that call, and got an answer he didn't like.

Certainly enlightening to learn the Lakers' upper decision-making process includes Linda Rambis.

Maybe Chuck Nevitt's wife is standing around with nothing to do?

Jeannie Buss appears to be no good at her job.

And her job is just to hiring some fucking competent people for one of the highest-profile organizations in sports. Doesn't the NBA have a league directory executives, front office people, scouting directors and scouts? Find the ones that are good at their jobs and offer them more money. If Option A says no, move to Option B.

    This isn't fucking rocket science.

Montana Phil is apparently still offering counsel as well. Undoubtedly he hammered Magic for not spending more time in the office.

Like when Jordan thought he could be GM of the Wizards by living and working in Chicago. Wilbon, a Washington Post Columnist at the time, defended the absentee employee citing that cell phones have taken the place of offices and Jordan can work from anywhere. Now Wilbon defends Johnson

Jeannie is used to being the most popular Buss. It wasn't too hard. Doesn't want to make hard decisions and hurt her friends. Fine. Hire someone else who will do that and stay hands off. Magic should have always been an unofficial advisor - like Kobe is. Your voice is heard but you leave no fingerprints and don't get blamed when things go sideways.

There is no scenario where Domi (or almost any other NHL enforcer) would lose a fight to an NBA player. I love the NBA and think that these guys are easily the best athletes in the world. That being said throwing a punch is a skill, especially a punch with power.

I’ve seen 6’6” body builders/power lifters one punch knocked out by a 190 Lbs ex Olympic boxer.

Shaq would last about 10 seconds with someone like Domi.
