I sense a change in wind direction within Republican circles regarding Trump. It isn't Amash so much, but I do sense a genuine lack of enthusiasm to spend political capital in defending him. He's a drag on most of the Senate Rs in a general election, but they'd get primaried if they turned on him. The loudest of his defenders have gotten louder, but there seem to be fewer of them.
