That's what was supposed to happen to Trump.

He took the podium right smack in the middle, just as Biden will. He was the focus of most every question --- other candidates were responding to what Trump had said. It just made his star shine brighter.

Clearly he's an accomplished man in the medical field. But he is politically relevant solely because he's a black guy who said mean things about Obamacare at a breakfast which Obama attended.

You can try to make any law you want, you just cant make it because it says so in the bible. or because jesus told you to. Do it on the merits of the law not because of something that really, truly might not exist.
And stop picking and choosing your way through the book.

Worked for Trump for two reasons:

    1. Trump was utterly, spectacularly brazen. Shameless. He gave no ground, took shots at nearly everyone (not really Carson), and correctly dragged average competitors into the mud. A few of them - CRUZ - stayed in so long, though, that there was never a contrast between Trump and Kasich. The GOP was ripe for the heel turn.

    2. Biden can't do the same. I suppose he could try, flamethrowing some of the weakest why-are-you-here candidates, like DeBlasio, but progressives would turn on him for it. The best he can do, when Kamala Harris or whoever takes their shot, is (and he has this ability) to laugh, shake his head a little, say "well, I'll tell ya" and hope the audience appreciates the lack of fire contrasted to whoever takes the shot.

The weakness of the hardest-core progressive argument is it's so full of rules and rigid boundaries that it ultimately divides its equity by zero. (Everything for everyone is "achieved" but it has no value because equity of power (to decide what?) is meaningless if it has no value.) It's hard for Biden to argue against it, though. He can nibble at the edges of it - we should run hard in the opposite direction of college for all - but there will often be someone willing to out-pure him.

Last time around, no GOP candidate was willing to be that narcissistic, that constant, that relentless. Trump was and is many things. On the trail he was not lazy. For as out of shape and fat as he was supposed to be, the man went to everything. Maybe it was to feed his ego. I'm pretty sure he got addicted to the circus of it. But, in doing so, he cracked open American Republicans (and some Democrats) that had never occurred to most recent GOP candidates. He was, as they say, an all-day MFer. Only one in that field to be that. Fueled by the wrong things? Oh yeah. Still an all-day guy.

    Is Biden that guy?

Again, a woman's right to choose and a citizen's right to purchase a device designed only to kill are not the same thing. Please stop repeating the same ridiculous premises that have already been correctly rejected. The same is true for the environmental argument you are trying to attach here. Neither is relevant. Your argument is a loser, so you keep trying to attach it to something else. It's a lame tactic and you really need to put it aside and try something more constructive.

Unless people are being forced to perform or go through abortions, it is NOT forced morality.

Actually, in this country, it is can't. I, for one, thank G-d for that. :)
