Heh. Give him a break. Look at whom 90 percent of his responses have been directed toward lately.

I can only speak for, er, another country where education was free. But in that country, around the ninth or 10th grade students were basically steered into either the university path or the vocational path, based on their performance through those first 9-10 years of education. Once you were steered into the vocational path . . . too bad. You had plenty of time to show yourself university-worthy if that's what you truly wanted or were cut out for.

Maybe American "progressivism" isn't very progressive after all!

I wonder how many recruits the Vols lose simply because they don't want to wear that color. It's not for everyone, that's for sure.

This. Free college programs will inevitably lead to rationing and sorting. It will also lead to colleges dialing in very specifically on what they want you to learn.

    Better than Vandy's look.

(Vandy's a great school and campus.)

I was thinking of that. At the minimum, everybody has the option of at least getting an associate's degree without having to pay for it.

Look, man, I can't defend Vandy's football program, but their uniforms are freaking boss. I mean, there's this:

    And then there's this:

That color doesn't complement too many people.

They took a really loud color of orange and thought, "You know what would spice up this look? Checkerboard!"

You can't go wrong with black and metallic gold. Plus Memorial Gym is an arena I've always wanted to see a game in.

Bullshit. Calling it a play and making it out to be something politically-motivated is trying to attach a negative connotation to higher education.
