I can't speak for today's sailors, but 30 years ago, it would have been a straight up riot. There was nothing more important than your ship and your shipmates. Heck, just this week I was proudly wearing my ship's cap at our local Memorial Day ceremonies. #crossthread.

 

Whoever it was in the chain of command who had to order the McCain's skipper to cover up the name of the ship he commands would probably have a few words to say on the subject.

You can't, on the one hand, decry the destruction of basic political and democratic norms by this President and, on the other, tell a Special Counsel "this isn't the time to be a Boy Scout." Of course it is, now more than ever, really. Accusing the President of a crime without giving him a legal avenue to answer those charges would be wholly unAmerican.

Mueller has given Congress the tools it needs. It's up to them to build the case for impeachment.
