Obama administration deported 2.5-2.8 million illegal aliens. Trump’s war isn’t on illegal aliens because he loves illegals as do most republicans. Cheap labor is what conservative economics is built upon.
Trump and the right are immoral and without redeeming humane qualities. They seek to bar refugees seeking asylum from physical harm. The very definition of Anti-Christianity as revealed by Jesus himself.

Carlson doesn't make sense on much, but immigration is an issue on which he makes about as much sense as anyone else...because there are no good answers anywhere to be found. The wall, the tariffs...far less than good solutions. But they exist in a vacuum of solutions.

The left has no solutions here. I'm not sure they can have a solution, short of blanket amnesty and open borders, since anything that looks like restriction is held subject to the Statue of Liberty huddled masses test. So they have no official solutions. They kick the can down the road and look the other way because it doesn't affect the wealthiest among them.
