Wilt played 43 minutes in Game 7. Took himself out with a knee injury with 5 minutes left and the Lakers down by 7. Lakers went on a 6-0 run with Wilt on the bench. He asked to go back in for the final couple of minutes, and Butch van Breda Kolff refused.

Thank you for this accurate account of history. In current news, if one takes two of the three best players out of a team's lineup , it struggles. Also, there is no set of announcers worse in any sport han Jackson and Van Gundy, Why the NBA tolerates them I do not know,

Well, we had to put up with the dreadful Stockton and Heinsohn all through the 1980s. Well, those of us in L.A. turned off the volume and put on KLAC for Chick and Stu.

Chick and Stu were probably the greatest team in NBA history. In all fairness. Heinsohn was a lot less insane than he is as a Boston local guy.

Curry is unbelievable. He is also the best in the league with head snap and exaggerated contact.

Since we're talking about Chick and Stu, this game is pretty much in the refrigerator.

Curry is great, but give me Leonard over him. He plays two sides of the ball.

You have seen James Harden play, right? Not saying Curry isn't an All-Star in that department but saying he's the best in a league with James Harden in it...

Fair point. And I don’t mean it as a criticism. The fact he can do it and still make shots is astounding.
