Here's your dog whistle of the day.

North Carolina city’s giant American flag flap still ripples after city council vote

I've seen this flag a hundred times. It's not about the American flag. It's about a city ordinance on the size of ANY flag or sign. I'm fine with the flag in question. I have a flag pole in my yard and fly a U.S. flag daily. That doesn't change the fact that it isn't in compliance. There isn't an ordinance for one flag and one for the rest.

Typically, Fox leads its viewers to believe Statesville, NC is attacking Old Glory.

    Happy Juneteenth.

And, by the way, why isn't a day celebrating releasing slaves from their masters in our country more widely acknowledged?

I have seen about two dozen historians on twitter, several of them scholars of the Holocaust, say AOC's term was completely accurate. I think Democrats should all use it. A defining feature of the Republican party is "they can dish it out, but they can't take it."
