Generally calling names won't do it. A threat, even a quiet and not terribly threatening one, now that will get you looked at.

Sessions can beat Roy, period. Thing is that if the Elf goes back to the Senate, he'll do it with zero seniority. I don't *think* he'll run as a result, but he might. McConnell will probably ask him to. That said, Trump's using him for pinata has to still be fresh in Sessions' mind.

Roy has a legit chance to beat anyone else in the R primary. Jones can beat him, and will if people vote their conscience. McConnell will probably spend truckloads of money on TV ads, and they're annoying as shit, because it's a huge buy. That said, if you try to tell people here what to do, particularly what they're doing wrong, they're liable to spit in your eye and do what you say they should not just to piss you off.

All of Roy's problems remain. He's dumb. His advisors are dumb. He's a prejudiced redneck asshole/good Christian hater of anyone who is different. He was always going to run, though, because that gives him access to the flow of campaign donations he can live and travel on, as well as skim all he can manage.

So. Sessions or a coin flip to my mind, at least this early on.
