Is that a subset of the East Coast elite or its own separate species?

It is a subcategory of the Lake Champlain / Green Mountain elite, who are responsible for the radical leftist stranglehold on pontoon boats and seasonal frozen custard stands.

I always knew there was something that held me back from Bernie
Now I see he's more about Bernie than the cause
I've always considered him the Eugene McCarthy of the 21st century
If his disciples (AOC, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams) pick up the cause, he will have done good

I'm sure Trump's been told firing Powell would cause the market to drop 1000 points in a day, so he's ranting because he doesn't have the guts to take that kind of gaff.

Bernie didn't magically make himself popular.

He attracts acolytes because he doesn't stand for much substantive and never has. I don't find him insincere about that. He grouches about this and that and millennials are attracted to his grouching about. They'll take it from there.

One of the reasons some others struggle to get traction is that they seem like they might actually, you know, want to run things. Do Klobuchar or Harris strike you as people who'd put up with one half-minute of BS from the "choo choo mfer!" set? Nope. That doesn't appeal to the AOCs of the world one bit. Bernie gives the activists their best chance to take over government.
