Pretty much anyone and everyone who can run for president is relatively rich.

That's what we need, rich motherfuckers lecturing the citizenry that "the poor have never had it so good."

That might be enough to bring the legendary GGWAG out of the woodwork.

I'm not convinced that Republicans are the only answer on the economy. I'm definitely not convinced that big business is right more than they're wrong -- I've worked in media for 25 years and have seen too many consolidations and mergers that trimmed jobs. I'm also skeptical of the "small businesses" that Republicans constantly deify... with their silent wage theft, nepotism to promote an owner's cokehead son and inevitable guilt trips and alienation once good employees move on because they have no upward path at a family-run business.

However, I'm definitely not convinced that a group with frontrunners like Harris-Sanders-Warren-Biden can get the economy to a better place.

What I do enjoy doing during debate season is see who breaks out, who gets the electorate excited. I think Harris did that last night -- and I kept waiting to see if she would break out from the single-digits. I also respect people who may have differing worldviews. That's fine. It's just not mine.

That's why I want Romney to run a rogue presidential campaign for 2020, just so he'll say that in a debate.

Is this basically your first exposure to Harris? Is there anything she can do over the next 15+ months to change your mind on Trump?

Hell, what if the economy goes into a recession between now and then? Does that change your calculus any?

Mitt isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I think he'd be smart enough to avoid stepping in those shitpiles this time around.

A Category Individual One typhoon has hit Japan and brought with it vile dictator-toadying and disrespect of core American values.

You just disagree when it comes to electing known scumbags to the White House.

    We get it.

The economy thing... Isn't the history of the American economy mostly Democratic presidents fixing the disasters that their Republican predecessors left behind? I mean, Obama inherited a smoking crater. Trump is going to turn it into one again. It's just whether it happens before 2020 or after. It's a constant cycle of cleaning up messes and the next Republican getting the credit.

    Not really.

If I lose my job, take a substantial pay cut or see the streets of the nation turn into the final scene from Red Dawn (the original), I may be open to voting left.

That being said, I could easily see a recession coming in the next 12-15 months. Economy feels too hot, especially housing and stocks.

I don't look at the White House as much as who is in control of Congress during the ups and downs.

So even Trump overseeing an economic downturn wouldn't be enough to convince you he's bad for the country? I give up.
