"The Democratic candidates were recently asked to describe their first acts in office. Trump has spent some of his recent time in the Oval Office showing off a model of a new Air Force One color scheme, and appeared not to know what kinds of military tanks he has lined up for display on the Fourth of July.....

...........Democrats have been pressured to release their taxes, and battered about what’s revealed in them, like Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont becoming a millionaire or former Texas Representative Beto O’Rourke giving close to nothing to charity. Trump still claims he’s under what would have to be one of the most extended audits in American history, and uses that as an excuse not to release his returns.......

.....The 2020 candidates are frequently grilled on their plans for cutting carbon emissions while Trump regularly confuses climate change for weather patterns.....

............Out on the trail, the Democratic candidates are regularly scolded to make sure their campaigns are about more than just condemning the president, while Trump rarely talks about anything other than himself,
whether taking credit for stock market gains or addressing the troops in South Korea on Sunday."

Holding Democrats to the Trump Standard

So vital that the country has managed to go 200+ years without asking it.

I have no problem with them being held to a higher standard than the buffoon in the Oval Office. God help us if we’re holding them to his standards.

Whomever gets the nomination is going to have to deliver a knockout punch to take back the Presidency. Strong understanding of issues and well-developed policy goals should be the focus of a Presidential campaign, not coming up with not-so-clever nicknames and lying about everything.

To write that piece without mentioning the Berrigan brothers is really something.

As to the bolded...perhaps this speaks to the desperation felt by these people? Of course traveling across numerous countries with a band of strangers only to be treated like criminals by FatFuck will be unpleasant. So how bad must it be at home? Of course when one votes for Trump they prove they have no empathy or basic decency so they ask 'Why would these folks take the risk?" Predictable .

The most interesting part will be how the media handles it.
And always the same trump, always trying to get away with it any way he can. Unfortunately it has worked for him throughout his life.
